The Melrose building in the Bronx that Banksy struck during his stint in New York City will soon be home to new market rate apartments. Save for retail on the ground floor, the four-story buildings have been vacant for nearly 30 years, and now the owner plans to convert upper three levels. Plans are still in the very beginning stages, but the project would be the first market rate building in the area, which is home to two new hotels and the huge La Central development.
