38-Story Tower on East 59th Street Will Contain Only 29 Units

New, 5 comments

Another "boutique skyscraper" is coming to the Midtown East/Upper East Side border, 6sqft reports. The 38-story tower at 118 East 59th Street will have a mere 29 apartments, including two duplexes and a triplex penthouse. It will be the first Manhattan project from Hong Kong-based developer Euro Properties, and will be designed by Singaporean Soo Chan's SCDA Architects, with SLCE serving as the architect of record. As 6sqft points out, SCDA is known for incorporating private pools into their buildings, and that definitely doesn't seem out of the question here, considering the size of the units. Demolition on the two small buildings that exist at the site is set to begin soon.
