TD Bank Signs As One Vanderbilt Anchor; Beekman Update

New, 1 comment

MIDTOWN EAST—Although it was pretty much a given, One Vanderbilt developer SL Green confirmed today that TD Bank will anchor the 1,514-foot-tall building that is set to rise adjacent to Grand Central Terminal. TD Bank has signed a long-term lease for 200,000-square-feet, including a retail space at the northeast corner of 42nd Street and Madison Avenue. TD Bank will move into the space in 2020. Does this mean, perhaps, that One Vanderbilt will become better known as the TD Bank Tower? [CurbedWire inbox; WSJ; previously]

FINANCIAL DISTRICT—One quarter of the Beekman's 68 condos are now sold, according to a an article in The Real Deal last week that was also accompanied by several new renderings (above). Fredrik Eklund, one half of the broker duo selling the building, noted that most of the sold apartments are on the building's lower floors as apartments on its higher floors have yet to come to market. When complete, the building will have 20 one-bedroom, 39 two-bedroom, and eight three-bedroom apartments starting from $1.2 million, $2.95 million, and $3.7 million. Pricing for the building's penthouses has yet to be disclosed. [TRD; previously]
