The city booked 100 rooms at a Radisson in Jamaica, Queens, for a "government group" for 10 days ending Tuesday. It turns out, according to the general manager, that the block was actually occupied by homeless families in need of a temporary place to stay while the Department of Homeless Services figured out where next to place them. Though the GM said it didn't affect "regular" guests, he wouldn't let it happen again, because "we have a business to run and a reputation to keep." Classy. [DNAinfo]
