Slate Property Group and Carlyle Group just filed permits to build an 88-condo building in Long Island City. Plans include 85,349 square feet of residential space, 1,363 square feet of commercial space, and a 35-car garage. Funny thing is, Slate and Carlyle don't even officially own the site yet; they paid about $20 million for it, and the deal will close in early 2015. The Long Island City development boom waits for no man, it seems. [TRD; previously]
