Via Brownstoner, the Upper West Side preservationist group Landmark West passes word that the Landmarks Preservation Commission plans to "discard over one hundred heard items" that the commission has yet to vote on "in an unprecedented massive 'decalendaring'" at their next meeting Tuesday, December 9. While this sounds highly unlikely only because the "decalendering" would mean throwing away thousands of hours of time and work on items already heard, it would put areas like Bed Stuy's proposed Bedford District back at risk. The agenda is still hearsay and remains to be substantiated by the LPC. ['Stoner]
