Prospect-Lefferts Gardens is losing another of its freestanding, turreted Victorian homes. Building permits filed today indicate that two townhouses will rise in its place at 270 and 272 Hawthorne Street. Both townhouses will be 3,420-square-feet and be configured as one floor-through apartment over a duplex. Both buildings will have a curb cut and parking for one car. The lots are being developed by Residential Development Group, who paid $1.1 million for the home in June. RDG also owns the neighboring 274 and 276 Hawthorne Street. ['Stoner]
