An investigation by the Daily News found that 34 serious construction accidents at the World Trade Center were not reported to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, including spinal fractures and broken limbs. The News also found that from 2010 to 2012, accidents at the site exceeded the national and state average (3.9 and 3.5, respectively), hitting an injury rate high of 6.45 per 100 workers in 2011.
