Welcome back to The Six Digit Club, in which we take a look at a newish-to-market listing priced under $1 million, because nice things sometimes come in small packages. Send nominations to the tipline.
This one-bedroom co-op in Kips Bay was renovated by the previous owners, who purchased it in 2004 for $330,000. The renovation added light-colored pickled hardwood floors, whitewashed exposed brick, built-in storage, and a large walk-in closet in the bedroom, and they were able to flip the apartment in 2007 for $545,000. The new buyer put the place back on the market yesterday, essentially unchanged, for a puzzlingly low price of $540,000.
