The controversial condo conversion of the landmarked Crenshaw Church on 96th Street and Central Park West is set to be presented to Community Board 7 next Thursday and to the Landmarks Preservation Commission the following Tuesday. The developers claim their "prime motivation and goal is to restore this building and preserve it and keep it beautiful," but preservationist group Landmark West is not buying it, and is currently rallying its members.
