For once, some NYCHA news that isn't terribly depressing: the New York City Housing Authority could receive a $30 million grant to improve Mott Haven. Most of the money, $25 million, would go toward major improvements at the Betances Houses, like repairing the roof, installing security cameras, and adding staircase lighting, while the rest of the funds will go toward community projects.
