The same folks behind a plethora of New York's residential buildings, from Long Island City to Harlem are building a rental on Kent Avenue in Williamsburg. A rendering for the 164-unit complex was posted on the construction site months ago, but YIMBY just procured three crystal-clear views of the brick-y, blocky building from architects GF55. Located between North 5th and North 6th streets, 149 Kent Avenue replaces a one-story carpet warehouse and will rise seven stories. Twenty percent of the units will be earmarked affordable. But you know what's less affordable? Smorgasburg. Which'll be two blocks away.
