Some Carroll Gardens residents are getting pretty angry at the new owners of a townhouse at 391 Union Street, who are currently installing a questionable swimming pool/puddle. Despite being totally legal due to the pool's ludicrously small size (10' by 20', or 200-square-feet), neighbors are still concerned about how the construction effort might affect the foundations of surrounding buildings (and, let's be honest, probably the noise). Still, architect Daniel Alter, who's running the renovation at 391, says the project is perfectly legal and by the book. And hey, this is a good idea for anybody who's ever wanted to swim a lap in one-and-a-half strokes. ['Stoner]
