Things remain tense between Brooklyn Community Board 9 and the anti-development Movement to Protect the People. At a "highly anticipated" meeting last night, Community Board Chairman Dwayne Nicholson "seemed at pains to avoid discussing the [controversial rezoning] further, and would not allow any public comment," leading MTOPP founder Alicia Boyd to shout, "They don't want to hear our voices" from the audience. Nicholson promised that the issue would be addressed at another public meeting before January 28. [Brownstoner; previously]
