See the State of Cornell's Roosevelt Island Tech Campus

New, 1 comment

Goldwater Hospital on Roosevelt Island is a goner. Field Condition swung by the site—the future home of the Cornell NYC Tech campus—and it's pretty much just a pile of rubble now. The first phase of the project is supposed to be complete in 2017, and it will bring to the residential island a residential building for staff and students, a net-zero academic building by Morphosis, and a corporate co-location building by Weiss/Manfredi, as well as some new landscaping by James Corner Field Operations.

Check out a few more photos on Field Condition's website, and see what the hospital looked like pre-demolition, over here.
