For $800,000, 'Live As If You Were in a Soho Loft'... in Queens

New, 10 comments

Welcome back to The Six Digit Club, in which we take a look at a newish-to-market listing priced under $1 million, because nice things sometimes come in small packages. Send nominations to the tipline.

This new-to-market studio in the Hunters Point neighborhood of Long Island City certainly toots its own horn in the listing. "Live as if you were in a Soho Loft for less money in an up and coming area," goes the brokerbabble. Granted, Long Island City may be teeming with development, but the Arris Lofts have seen their fair share of issues for the last several years. Then again, the way the current resident has created a bedroom using bookshelves as walls against a wall of closets, while leaving enough room for proper living and dining areas, is pretty impressive. There's also a washer/dryer in its own laundry room in the apartment. The sellers picked up the 741-square-foot apartment in 2007 for $519,307, and they're now asking an even $800,000.
