The latest supertall, super luxury Manhattan condo tower is setting the stage for its debut. After nearly a decade of planning, the Jean Nouvel-designed MoMA Tower at 53 West 53rd Street will finally launch sales this spring. A fittingly artsy teaser site is now up and running, with a mesmerizing animated sketch of the tower that ends with "Nouvel. Despont. A modern view." The site provides no intel on pricing, only indicating that unit sizes for the 140 condos range from one- to five-bedrooms.
Thirty smaller units on floors 14 to 16 will be sold as staff quarters, while the largest home is expected to be a 7,892-square-foot duplex penthouse (floorplan, over here). The Museum of Modern Art will have galleries on floors two, four, and five. The tower will rise 1,050 feet, making it the fourth tallest residential tower in the city.
