The Peter Stuyvesant Post Office shut down in February, and given its prime location on East 14th Street between First Avenue and Avenue A, it was pretty much a given that a new development would replace it. EV Grieve spotted the permits for the project, which will bring an eight-story, 114-unit building to the property. Filings list Benenson Capital Partner as the developer and SLCE as the architect of record. Demolition permits for the building were approved in October.
