The Comptroller's Office has received 205 notifications that people intend to sue the the city over the East Harlem gas line explosion that cause two Park Avenue buildings to collapse, killing eight and displacing hundreds, back in March. The plaintiffs will range from family members of the eight victims to a firefighter who was injured at the scene to Con Edison, who owns the gas lines and filed the claim as "a precaution."
