EAST NEW YORK—The New York Department of Housing Preservation and Development has announced that Phase II of the Livonia Avenue Initiative in East New York will include 288 affordable apartments, new retail space, a vocational training center for high school students, and space for commercial kitchen-promoting workforce development. The new spaces are being developed by a consortium of BRP Companies, HELP USA, the Local Development Corporation of East New York, and the Community Solutions organization.
