Here's something that seems unnecessary: a City Council bill that would require landlords to notify tenants and residents two weeks in advance if any amenity would be out of service for more than 24 hours. It would cover everything from ping-pong tables to elevators to wifi. It's unclear what the penalties would be, but lobbyists are not please, "You would think the council could better use its time."
