Oh Look, Boaz Gilad Is Developing More Condos In Bed-Stuy

New, 12 comments

Boaz Gilad has added another building to his massive roster of developments—he has 40 active projects in Brooklyn, according to Brownstoner—with the acquisition of 691 Marcy Avenue in Bed-Stuy, where an eight-story, 41-unit condo building is in the works. The co-owner of Gilad's Brookland Capital, Assaf Fitoussi, explained to 'Stoner that "The market is very strong for condos now" because there are not many new condo buildings being built in Brooklyn at the moment (except for the dozens that are being built by Gilad and Fitoussi). The design for 691 Marcy, while less bad than some of Brookland's other projects (1255 Bushwick Avenue, 991 Eastern Parkway), is somewhat reminiscent of a few different buildings sort of mashed together, or maybe a sculpture made out of leftover Legos. The architect of record is Franklyn Estrella Architects.
