A resident of 11 Fifth Avenue is suing the co-op board for $600,000 over the board's stringent washer/dryer restrictions. Helen Siller and her husband Stephen renovated their apartment specifically to accommodate a Maytag in 1990, but now that the time has come to replace it, the building only allows three pre-approved brands—none of which is Maytag—in residents' apartment, probably for some really good reason. After the board refused to allow the Sillers to buy a new Maytag, they filed suit. "This makes as little sense to us as it does to you," Stephen Siller told the Post. [NYP; previously]
