Is This $18 Million Townhouse Trying To Tell Us Something?

New, 14 comments

We last checked in with this West 87th Street townhouse when it was in process of being renovated and was asking $17.5 million. Now that the renovation is finished it has a brand new $18 million listing but, more importantly, the street-facing window in the parlor-level living room seems to have a of message for prospective buyers. It looks like NO, but it could also be ON. Either way, this house is probably haunted. A few words about the renovation:

This single family townhome [has] an elevator that accesses 7 floors, a formal dining room with fireplace, a grand living room with two fireplaces, a state of the art kitchen and floor to ceiling windowed breakfast room which opens to an approx. 420 ft. garden, full gym, wine cellar, a Penthouse solarium boasting a North facing and a South facing roof deck garden. A masterpiece that has 4 wood burning fireplaces, 3 terraces and 1 balcony, a wireless sound system, central vacuum, closed circuit TV monitoring system, security system throughout, 7 zone state of the art central air-conditioning system, a state of the art radiant floor heat with unlimited zoning possibilities. · Listing: 38 West 87th Street [Elliman]
