Staten Island Manse With Very Ornate Barroom Wants $2.6M

New, 13 comments

Our weekly feature, Monday Mansion, examines the most interesting mega homes on the market in the far reaches of New York. Have a listing in mind that we're missing? Tell us about it. To the outer boroughs we go!

Like many Staten Island houses, this seven-bedroom McMansion in Todt Hill has a lot going on. It weirdly combines the bland suburbia aesthetic with ornate, carved wood details and antique furniture for a decidedly mafia-esque feel. There are multiple fireplaces, a master bathroom with a chandelier, what looks like a ballroom, lots of wall-to-wall carpeting, and the most intense barroom we've ever seen—tin ceilings, paneled walls, and a carved wood pavilion-like thing with stained glass ornamentation and marble counters—which is separated from the adjacent room with red velvet curtains. The brokerbabble says these features are perfect for "providing stylish living & entertaining at its finest." There's also a heated pool and a small landscaped pond in the yard. It's listed for $2.599 million.
