The city has fielded 48,418 calls from Brooklyn tenants reporting a lack of heat in their apartments between October 1, 2013 and January 12, 2014. Of no exception are tenants at 377 Ocean Parkway in Kensington, who are reporting hour- and day-long-lapses in the landlord-required service. Despite Department of Housing Preservation and Development's claim to hold landlords accountable for failure to provide basic services upon complaint, 377 Ocean Parkway is still shivering. [NYDN]
