Although 324 East 4th Street will no longer live on as the canvas street artist Hanksy took it as this past December, we will always have this video we found on Gothamist to remind us of what the building was like immediately before Anthony Morena of The Redd Group converted it into a high-end residential building, as is planned. The currently abandoned four-story, four-unit tenement is slated for conversion to a seven-story upscale residential development. The video shows the building's character-rich interior with french doors, wood carving, brick walls, and lots of graffiti. Even if you care not about street art or scoping out the pre-renovation interiors, the dog in a coat at 1:10 confirms the video's worth watching.
