The revamped Tavern on the Green restaurant in Central Park will reopen this spring, with a locally-focused menu and a completely renovated building. The Parks Department stripped the building to its original structure, and the new owners (who are from Philly) spent $17 million on the makeover, which features dark wood, beamed ceilings, and leather for an aesthetic that the architect calls "'robber baron meets sheep barn."
