Updated Terrace-tastic Design Revealed For 250 North 12th

New, 28 comments

The long-planned residential building at 250 North 12th Street on the corner of Driggs Avenue in Williamsburg suddenly sprouted from the ground last summer after years of inaction, and Brownstoner wondered if the glassy, plant-speckled design revealed in 2007 was still part of the plan. Now, thanks to a Curbed tipster, we have an answer: it's not. Architecture firm MDIM is still behind the building, but the design has been updated to what you see above. The facade facing McCarren Park is now covered with terraces, while the side facing Driggs features brick and slender lines of vertical windows. The latest Department of Building filings show it will have 42 units and 21 subterranean parking spaces.
