This is just a delightful video, via Dwellings NYC, of a Real New Yorker named Denise talking about living in Gramercy for the past 29 years. She and her ex-husband moved from Chelsea in 1985 after an encounter with a man with a banana through his earlobe. "I looked around for a relatively stable, middle-class neighborhood and this was the best I could do," she says. "Now I'm the poor white trash in the building." The whole thing is worth watching.
