As if the slew of controversial towers rising along 57th Street weren't enough, let's check in on another one. World-Wide Group and Rose Associates are putting up a 65-story building between Second and Third avenues, which will have 93 condos and 173 rentals. Developers closed on a $450 million construction loan yesterday, putting the final piece of financing in place for what's now known as 252 East 57th Street. Sales are expected to launch in the second quarter of this year. The original look of the thing has been toned down, but reps reached out to say they haven't yet arrived at a final design for the building. Stay tuned for a new render. [TRD; previously]
