Deepak Chopra Drops $14.5M on Health-Centric Delos Condo

New, 4 comments

Holistic health and New Age guru and author Deepak Chopra has bought into the "health-centric" Delos building at 66 East 11th Street. The author has reportedly dished out $14.5 million for the building's 3,663-square-foot three-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bathroom home, says the Post. The Greenwich Village boutique residential building has branded itself as the pioneer of Wellness Real Estate; each of the building's five units offer acoustic dampening floors, antimicrobial coating on high-touch surfaces, and EMF shielding to protect residents from electromagnetic fields, amongst a slew of other amenities.

Chopra served on the building's advisory board, and continues to act as a public advocate for its design philosophy, citing Wellness Real Estate as the "next frontier in well-being" as it provides an environment that "basically allow[s] your body to self-regulate." He will join neighbor and investor Leonardo DiCaprio, who bought into the well-building in November after a highly-public apartment hunt. Chopra leaves behind his $3.5 million pad at the Park Imperial at 230 West 56th Street.
