High Line Condo With 40-Foot Hedge Unleashes First Units

New, 25 comments

Just a few weeks after revealing some verdant interiors and launching a full website, Sherwood Equities' 500 West 21st Street has quietly scuttled the first few units onto the market. StreetEasy shows seven apartments available, ranging from a 1BR/1BA for $2,200,000 to a three-bedroom, three and a half-bath with a private terrace for $6.45M. It all comes out to about $2,000-$2,5000 per square foot. There are 32 units total in the Kohn Pedersen Fox-designed, High Line-abutting building with interiors by Mark Zeff and a 40-foot-tall wall o' plants and trees and greenery by landscape architect Rees Roberts so that residents can maintain a modicum of privacy. Apartments will continue to come to market throughout the spring. One is already in contract, a 2BR/2.5BA asking $4,750,000. UPDATE: Two more units are now in contract.
