New 14-Room Boutique Hotel Set To Open On Broome Street

New, 17 comments

A rundown four-story building at 431 Broome Street has been reborn as a lovely 14-room boutique hotel. Called the Broome, the new hotel has been seven years in the making, and it's the brainchild of restauranteur and boutique hotelier Jean Claude Iacovelli, his brother Stephane Iacovelli, and Vincent Biotier (self-described on LinkedIn as a "Visionary Entrepreneurial"). The existing building, which previously held artists lofts, underwent a $6 million renovation, led by architects James Anzalone and Thomas Tsue, and a new building was constructed on an adjacent lot to the rear. The two structures were connected to create the beautiful open-air courtyard shown above. The interiors feature furnishings and decor from local shops and designers, and the ground floor hosts a small cafe. The hotel opens on February 14, and rooms start at $300 per night, but they are $260 before April 1.
