Our semi-regular feature, Monday Mansion, examines the most interesting mega homes on the market in the far reaches of New York. Have a listing in mind that we're missing? Tell us about it. To the outer boroughs we go!
Like many of the waterfront Brooklyn mansions that have come before it, this mega house in Mill Basin doesn't have the best interior designthere is an excessive amount of granite flooring and a terrible Pepto-pink bedroombut it's not all bad. The large bean-shaped indoor pool is certainly a high point, plus the place has a private dock on the basin. The sparse brokerbabble also mentions three working fireplaces, two balconies, and a stained-glass window. Fancy! The current asking price is $1.9 million, but if it's not picked up soon, that number will probably change; the house has been on and off the market since 2010, and every few months, a little more is chopped off (or tacked on to) the price tag.
