Brooklyn's two-block-long Caton Place in Windsor Terrace is seeing a lot of action these days. Developer Sam Boymelgreen is finally finishing the long-stalled 23 Caton Place, and across the street, Hudson Companies is constructing a new 7-story building at 22 Caton Place. New renderings from architects Kiss + Cathcart were recently revealed for the latter, which is aiming for LEED Gold certification. Eco-friendly features in the 73-unit market rate building include recycled and locally-sourced building materials, rainwater harvesting, energy efficient appliances, and a green roof with gardening plots for residents. Other amenities include a pet washing room, gym, children's playroom, bike storage, a yoga room, and below-grade parking. Interior details are sparse, but one rendering shows an open kitchen with a bar top counter. The building should be complete later this year.
