Police are looking for a suspect who conned at least 10 people in the East Village by posing as a fake real estate agent. Using the aliases David Horowitz and Michael Bryant, the scam artist placed Craigslist ads for apartments he did not have any connection to, and he allegedly took deposits of more than $2,000 from each interested person, making off with some $22,000. Two addresses used in the scam were 321 East 6th Street between First and Second Avenues and 434 East 9th Street near Avenue A. [CBS Local]
