Opulent $25M UES Mansion Now Comes With A Rolls Royce

New, 29 comments

It has been far too long since we've seen cars being offered along with New York City real estate, but thankfully, billionaire fertilizer tycoon Alexander Rovt has brought this ridiculousness back into our lives. The Real Deal reports that Rovt is now offering a Phantom Rolls Royce to the buyer of his insanely opulent gilded mansion at 232 East 63rd Street, which has been relisted for $25 million—$3 million more than the last ask. "We decided to go very out of the box with this one," said new broker Benjamin Benalloul, CEO and founder of Portman Realty, who is marketin the house with Oren and Tal Alexander of Douglas Elliman. "To diversify our marketing strategy and take advantage of the private garage that comes with the house, we will be throwing in a Rolls Royce Phantom into the purchase price at our own expense." Right. Because that $3M price bump has nothing to do with it.

Rovt and his wife bought the house, located between Second and Third Avenues, in 2005 for less than $5 million, and they immediately embarked on a gut renovation that created the extravagant mansion you see here. The 12,000-square-foot house has an "award-winning" indoor swimming pool and sauna, a theater, five outdoor spaces, hand painted moldings and railings, Venetian plaster, Brazilian cherry herringbone floors, and solid core wood doors, among many other things. Rovt has been trying to find a buyer since 2011, when it was first listed for $27 million. After a year on the market, the price was dropped to $21 million, then upped to $22 million, and now, once again, the asking price has been increased.
