Street View Hack Makes NYC Look Like A Creepy Jungle Book

Hacker Einar Öberg has unleashed a simple manipulation of Google Maps' Street View function with pretty awesome results. Head to his Urban Jungle Street View site, enter in a New York City location, and then drop the yellow animated man with the Indiana Jones hat into the intersection of your choice to see what the cityscape would look like if it were all overgrown with flora of all shapes and sizes. It's sort of like being inside that Crazy Town video for "Butterfly," or on some kind of Amazonian expedition. Our sister site the Verge spotted the hack, and also noted that fun internet toys like this tend to be short-lived because Google shuts 'em down fast. So enjoy it while you can.
