The three ridiculous daredevils who jumped off the top of One World Trade Center in September and turned themselves over to the authorities yesterday managed to post GoPro footage of the vertiginous feat on YouTube. Preceded by some expletives about the height and a bit of praying, the action gets good around 2 minutes and 30 seconds in. One says to another, "Have a good one, brother," earning the reply, "You too, man," before everything gets dizzy and they're streaming down the facade. The masked man to whom we are strapped unleashes his 'chute, floats down over West Street, and comes to a running landing. Whoops, there's another expletive, and he keeps running to go stuff his blue parachute into a dark bag by a bush. Probably to get away from security. Speaking of security... Given that three guys could sneak up to the top and jump off, and a 16-year-old kid scaled the skyscraper just last week, maybe that's something they could work on. Meanwhile, the men are out of custody after shelling out $3,500 bail, but face charges of third-degree burglary, second-degree reckless endangerment, and jumping from a structure. "We just kind of walked in," said one of the parachutists, which is only mildly concerning. Guess it ain't no "fortress" yet.
