Rent Kate Moss's Stunning Former Village Triplex For $19,000

New, 25 comments

A Greenwich Village triplex carriage house with celebrity pedigree is on the rental market asking $19,000/month. Set back off the street, the carriage house is accessed by walking through the main building's hallway. The two-bedroom, two-bathroom home at 112 Waverly Place is laid out over 1,800-square-feet and boasts private garden space on two levels and recently renovated kitchen and bathrooms. If ever looking to rent an apartment with grand entertaining space, this is it: ceilings in the living area reach 25-feet, and the apartment embraces the 1800-era building's original details including a wood burning fireplace and exposed brick walls.

Not so ideal is the home's layout, which seems to be open entertaining space sandwiched between two bedrooms, one of which is lofted and the other below-grade. At the very least, that below-grade bedroom is sexy with it's floating bath-sans-divider. Unfortunately there are no floorplans to depict the layout, so the listing agent gave us a FaceTime tour of the property, showing us that the area that divides the carriage house from the main house is dug-out, allowing light into the master bedroom from the glass french doors that lead out to a below-grade patio. Currently, the lofted bedroom is used as an office space, but can be walled-in for privacy. Got all that?

Kate Moss rented this unit in the late 1990's when she was engaged to Johnny Depp, which means also that Johnny Depp probably spent a decent amount of time in this special place.
