As expected following the affordable housing deal that developer Two Trees struck with the city, the City Planning Commission voted unanimously today to approve the Domino project. The terms of the deal stipulate that Two Trees will include 700 units of affordable housing in the 2,300-unit development, 40 more than they were originally going to have, and the total square footage of the affordable housing will be increased by 26 percent from 427,000 to 537,000. The final step in the ULURP process is a City Council vote, which is expected to go smoothly for Two Trees. [NYDN; previously]
