An island lot in Williamsburg that once held a church will soon be home to 33 apartments, which will start leasing this spring. 281 Union Avenue will house one- and two-bedrooms of varying size, some with private outdoor space. The project comes via a developer duo, Alex Brown Realty, Inc. and Largo Investments, who tapped Brooklyn's own MDIM to be the architects. Amenities include a gym, laundry room, rec room, communal outdoor space, central air-conditioning, and parking. Now for the pricing: 1BR/1BAs will range from $2,400 to $3,000/month; large 1BR/1BAs with outdoor space, $3,800-$4,100; 2BR/1BAs, $3,500-3,700; and 2BR/2BAs with outdoor space, $4,000–$4,800. Brownstoner checked in on the construction of the (heh) cross-shaped structure last summer, and units are expected to hit the market in April.
