Design Awards Honor 4 WTC, Donald Judd's Studio, More

The American Institute of Architects, NY Chapter (AIANY)—which yearly honors AIANY members, city-based architects in any location, and work in New York City by architects around the globe—have announced the AIANY 2014 Design Award recipients. The 35 winners are represented throughout the four categories of architecture, interiors, projects, and urban design. Amongst the New York City-based projects that received honors: the exterior restoration of the Donald Judd Home + Studio by Architecture Research Office, Maki and Associate's 4 World Trade Center, Clive Wilkinson Architect's "Superdesk", and Sage and Coombe's "Edgeless School" (warning: PDF!). Past winners include the National September 11 Memorial by Handel Architects and Davis Brody Bond, and Andrew Berman Architect's MoMA PS 1 Entrance Building. All 35 winning projects will be on display at the Center for Architecture from April 23 through June 17.
