We wrote about 1234 Dean Street in Crown Heights when it hit the market a few months ago, and just yesterday, it closed for $1.85 million. Although the home sold for a bit less than its ambitious $2.195 million asking price, it still managed to pull off a pretty crazy flip, considering the former owners paid just $699,000 for the place back in 2011. According to broker Anthony Santangelo of Douglas Elliman, it also set a neighborhood record for a single-family sale.
Admittedly, 1234 Dean Street is a pretty fantastic property. Built at the turn of the century, the four-bedroom, two-bathroom brownstone has a ton of historic details (look at that woodwork!), along with new appliances and more updated stuff . It also has working gas fireplaces with original fixtures, a spacious garden, and an original wood-burning stove.
