Gateway Plaza Tenants Sue; Greenwood On Fourth Update

New, 3 comments

BATTERY PARK CITY—A former vice president of the tenants association at Gateway Plaza has filed a class action lawsuit against landlords the LeFrak Organization over the 1,700-unit building's lack of heat this winter. According to a press release, temperatures "regularly dropped to below 55 degrees this winter as well as past winters ... Residents say that their windows are so faulty that on cold days frost accumulates on the inside of the windows and has to be cleared by the tenants themselves so that it does not cause water damage." This is far from the first feud that LeFrak has had with its own tenants, with previous ones involving pet restrictions and falsely advertised views. [CurbedWire Inbox; previously]
