One Vanderbilt, the Kohn Pedersen Fox-designed tower slated for the block just west of Grand Central, will probably get built despite the demise of Midtown East's rezoning proposal. Capital NY reports that developer SL Green is negotiating with the de Blasio administration to proceed with plans for the 65-story, 1.6 million-square-foot office building without waiting for any neighborhood-wide rule change.
