Townhouse in Treadwell Farms Historic District Wants $7.35M

New, 2 comments

This restored 20-foot-wide townhouse just hit the market for $7.35 million. Owned by the same family for 53 years, it is, according to the listing, "one of the finest examples in the [Treadwell Farms Historic District,]" a small district located on East 61st and 62nd Street between Second and Third Avenues. The district is mostly composed of three- and four-story brownstones constructed in the middle- to late-19th century. 209 East 61st Street, a four-story, was actually constructed in 1905, but it has retain a number of details "such as period woodwork, high ceilings, oak parquet floors with mahogany inlay, crown moldings and 5 ornate fireplaces" to go along with the more modern accoutrements that have been added.
