Delayed Hell's Kitchen Rental-Hotel Will Finally Open Soon

The long-stalled Galerie515 Cassa Hotel and Residences coming to Ninth Avenue between West 38th and West 39th streets is finally arriving on the scene. The rebranded development by Assa Properties and designed by Costas Kondylis—not to be confused with the developer's other property of the same name, BBH notes—hit a snag in its timeline, bumping back its unveiling from an optimistic 2009 to the rather drawn-out 2014. But at long last, leasing is set to launch sometime this spring. Not much has been unleashed about the mixed-use hotel and rental property in the interim years: its official site unveils that the 12-story building's residential portion has units of the studio to three-bedroom variety.

A languishing StreetEasy page for the erstwhile Galerie condominiums lists the building as having a state-of-the-art fitness center for residents and hotel guests and a few other commodities:

Five star restaurant offers in room delivery service to residents. Roof SkyLounge provides city views, wet bar, jacuzzi whirlpool and barbecue area. Spa, shoeshine, housekeeping, personal shopping and business services are all available. Parking spots with valet parking are available as well. A commercial listing for the building says the property will have about 3,700-square-feet of ground floor retail space with 13-foot ceilings.
