Madelaine Chocolate Co., one of the largest employers on Queens' Rockaways peninsula, hasn't reopened since it was hit hard by Hurricane Sandy. It had previously put its 5.4 acre complex on the market, but has now reversed its course and is requesting $10 million in federal Sandy recovery funds so that it can carry on.
